Youth Theatre Works began in 2002 when Kathy Kilsby and Barbara Durost decided our community needed a theatre program that focuses on the development of the artist first and foremost; that supports healthy collaboration; that has at its foundation the basic creative principles that everyone can contribute, all people deserve support and dignity in their individual creative journeys and that taking part in theatre, above all, should be exciting, inclusive and fun (they are called PLAYS, after all!) With these ideas in mind, they created Youth Theatre Works, which has thrived under their leadership.
