Summer 2026 Workshops:
Beginning Jazz/Musical Theater
Ages 8-18
Tuesdays (July 7th – August 11th), 4-5pm @ UCC
This class is intended for dancers of all experience levels and ages with a focus on technique, musicality, along with other jazz/musical theatre basics. The combinations taught will be fun and upbeat while remaining welcoming to all levels.
Advanced Jazz/Musical Theater
Ages 12-18
Thursdays (July 9th – August 13th), 4-5pm @ UCC
This class is intended for experienced dancers to further improve their technique, musicality, and performance skills. The dance combos taught will aim to push dancers to new levels, with an emphasis on audition preparation for high school and college level dance. Our high school students may find this workshop particularly helpful.
Acting and Audition Prep
Ages 12-18
Tuesdays (July 7th – August 11th), 5-6:30pm @ UCC
This class will provide in depth training in acting skills. We will focus on how to prepare for high school, amatuar, professional and college level auditions through monologues, scene work and other elements that will prepare students for continued theatre pursuits.
Friday Theater Jams
Every Friday, 4-6pm, YTW gets together at Claremont United Church of Christ (UCC) for a mix of improv games, theatre techniques, choreography, and creative fun for youth 8 to 18. All are welcome and no previous theater experience is necessary.
This is a great way to get to know our community and decide if YTW is right for you.
